Chemistry lab of St.Mary's HSS is well furnished and euipped with all the necessary facilities.Floor was tiled.There were two long tablebirths and was tiled. Lab can accomodate 32 students at the same time.In the middle of the birth shelves are present in which chemicals are provided in glass bottles.There were 16 washbasins with taps in each birth, 8 on both sides.The shelves in the middle divides the birth into two halves.Each half contains four washbasins each.The shlves are so constructed in such a way that chemicals can bekept from both sides.There were 4 wall shelvesthat also contain chemicals.At the end of the lab alarge built in cupboard with glass coverings were also present.The store of the lab is so spacious that chemicals can be kept in bulk.An electrical weighing machine and a common balance was also present.Gas connections are present with 10 gas burners on each table birth,so that students can work in the lab without rush.a fireextinguisher is present.Lab is orovided with two exhaust fans.Lab was maintained by lab assistant Ullas Thomas.
