In 1941, a school started by Agastiyassan was raised to High School on 28 June 1954. Msgr.Rev. Fr. CJ Varkey was the first manager.The Socio-Economic conditions created by World War II brought an end to the Malabar migration when the middle aged people sought to seek fresh pastures. As a part of this they reached these hillside.In 1944, Rev.Fr.Thomas Ayilloor, the parish priest of Kulathuvayal Church attempted to raise the school to a Higher Elementary.Msgr.Rev. Fr. C. J. Varkey, the new parish priest of Kulathuvayal church built a new school building in 1952 and raised it to St George High School on 28th June 1954 as per the order of Madras Government.The area for the school was given by Chembra Makki Moidu.Total admission in this year was 223 only. Sri. V. Thomas was the first headmaster and Msgr.Rev. Fr. C. J. Varkey was the first manager.The school started functioning with 12 teachers and 2 non teaching staff.This School is about 6 km from Perambra town at Chembra.Now there is 23 divisions, 813 student , 36 teachers and 5 non-teaching staff.
